sealord > A pair of orange plumose anemones, Metridium senile, photographed in the Queen Elizabeth II marina, St. Peter Port harbour, on Guernsey's east coast. Plumose anemones are plankton eaters. The QE II marina entrance is in the north-east corner of the marina. The largest plumose anemones live in the south-east corner of the marina where they receive a plentiful supply of plankton when the rising tide floods the marina with fresh seawater from Belle Greve Bay.
